Advisory 2016-HC10: Procedures that require postoperative/post procedure note
The CMS definition of surgery (found in the CMS State Operations Manual for Hospitals Interpretive Guidelines at §482.51) has led to various interpretations as to what types of procedures require a postoperative/post procedure note. Advisory 2016-HC07: Primary Stroke Program Updates
It has come to our attention that some of our partner hospitals did not receive the updated Primary Stroke standards when they were updated this year. It was published in May 2015 to go into effect July 1, 2015. When we found out that not all hospitals had received the PSC.2, we then stated that January 1, 2016 would be the date at which all hospitals would be required to meet.
